Whetstone United Reformed Church Hall

Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) becomes a hotel caretaker and settles in along with his wife and his son, who is plagued by psychic premonitions. As his son's visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel's dark secrets and becomes a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorising his family.

About the film

Please note that this film has an age-classification of 18 and proof of age will be requested for those who are lucky enough to look under 25.


The screening will take place in the Hall behind the United Reformed Church on High St, Whetstone - this is opposite Park Vets / Wale Road. On-site parking is extremely limited, however there is plenty of street parking nearby. Once parked, head down the path which runs down the left hand side of the Church building, and enter through the door at the end (not the main Church doors). See image of our location.


Wine, beer, soft drinks and popcorn will be available to purchase from our licensed bar.


Doors open at 7.30pm for drinks and popcorn, with the film starting promptly at 8pm.
